So i have done the rebalance to the nails that i added this afternoon and this was the result. I can see that the shapes are inconsistant on many and the colour seems a bit odd on some, as if my brush may be contaminated  hope not!
Anyway, having been given a few things to work on this afternoon i decided to focus mainly on one thing at a time. This time, the main thing i was aiming for was to get the product more flush to the natural nail at zone 3. (obviously i am trying to improve on the other areas too but this was what i focused on most).
Do you think there is any improvement? More tips overall?
Thanks!

I think your nails look great and I do see what you mean about the color differences, looks a little yellow on some nails. The only problem at all that I could see was with the smile line on the left hand middle finger, looks a little wobbly at the corner, but it could be just the camera angle and the apex on the thumb of the right hand looks a little flat compared to the left hand. HTH's and great job for posting.

Thanks, no it wasnt the camera angle, its a genuine grimace line , i need lots of practice on my smile lines still but each time i do a set im noticing improovement. I also agree the apex is flat on the thumb- i was not happy with that thumb at all actually.
Out of interest, if you are beginning to file your set after product application and you notice, like the thumb, a nail looking particularly flat do you go back a step and add more product, or hope for the best?
I left that as it was on my sister and just told her to pop back and i'll mend it if it breaks, if it was a client i'd want to fix it but then would be embarrassed that i needed to. Just wondering what 'a professional' would do?
There are a few more images of this rebalance in my album too

Hi and well done!

To your question, I always check from the side of the nail, when I have applied my pink, that way I can put more if it looks flat. Maybe an idea you can use???

Zone 3 looks more flush, so thats great. I like your way of focusing on one thing to improve at the time, I know what you mean, and it is a good idea, otherwise trying to improve everything at one time can be hard.
To when you get a little more confident (which you can be, as you do lovely nails) some very wise geeks have said, treat each step as a job in itself, a good way to look at it. That way with each step, you can improve a little, by thinking only about that step, if that makes sense...

Thankyou very much for your tips and your compliment, you've made my day actually!
Yes i'll definitely try working through it as stages, i think i'll have a go on my hand trainer tonight. I like to focus on each problem at a time in the hope that I'll get competent in each problem before moving on to work on something else and getting nowhere really, also so it doesn't all get on top of me then i end up worse then i started!
Thanks again and for taking the time,
Kayley
