Hi Geeks

This may sound like a silly question but at the risk of sounding a bit daft I thought I`d run it by you anyway.

I have a client coming in for a maintenance appointment. Normally I would clip away the free edge, tidy up the smile line with my file, pop on a form and sculpt a new free edge if a re balance in that area is needed. In this case it will only have been a week and 5 days since her last appointment so I would prob only need to backfill, tidy up and re position the apex etc. The client had a blue glitter french but at this appointment she would like to change the colour so my question is I don't know what to charge as she will be having a whole new colour of sculpted acrylic but wont actually be having a new set if you see what I mean?

Thanks xxx

If it takes you the same time I charge for that, she is basically getting a new set, I would remove her zone 1 clip away gently and reverse sculpt. I chrarge for time and how much work needs to be done really not on per service, so say if I charge x amount for rebalance it is diffrent for every 2-3 weeks than at 4 weeks as there is more work to be done, iygwim. I dont tend to do infills only rebalances. HTH xxxx

IMO I would charge the client the full rebalance price. Even though there will be less growth in zone 3, the client is the one wanting the free edge colour changed and hence you will need to to a complete rebalance for the longevity of the nail enhancement. If you are concerned about charging I would have a consultation with the client and explain the options available to her ie single colour rebalance at x, and change of colour rebalance at x price.
hth's

if its a change of colour i charge extra £5 for colours or glitters on top of the rebalance
