Recieving junk emails

Hi ,please can someone help me,Im recieving a high quantity of junk emails from people trying

to sell me Viagra :irked:.

The emails automatically get filtered into my junk box, and when I delete them I delete and

block , but they just keep pouring in and the other annoying thing is some of them arent even

addressed to me ,or are addressed to me and half a dozen other Debbies.

How the hell can I put a stop to this , can anyone please help me get rid of these buggers!

They are really sneaky and put spaces in the words so even if you block the word viagra then vi agra and via gra and vi a gra will all get through.

You can get a programme called mail washer which basically you can check your emails on the web and delete those you dont want before they come into your inbox.

However, I have recently gone over to Windows Live Mail and little by little it seems to be filtering a lot of them out.

It is no different to the letter box stuff, some will always get through no matter what you do.

You should be able to set filters on your mail account which blocks everthing unless it is from someone in your address book but then you run the risk of missing something.

I hope someone else comes up with some other useful information.

To be honest, I don't think you can do much. As long as they go into your junk file, at least you haven't got to plough your way through them. What you should NEVER do is reply to them. As soon as they receive a reply, they know that the address they came up with is valid and they will literally send you hundreds and thousands! If you use a web based email account, they are really hot at working out the spam and stopping you coming into contact with them.

I get it all the time mine seem to go in cycles, viagra for a couple of weeks then insurance then loans then back to viagra...I just delete them all... dunno what else to do x

Aw thanks Suzie glad Im not the only one, I think somewhere along the line I done the wrong thing...I replied to one of them with a snotty email...oops ..now there swarming in.

ooohhh, yep wrong thing to do, my friend said she just sends them back to them unopened, and it stopped, I havent tried it so I dont know for sure hun.
