I searched for this first but couldn't find what I needed!

For those of you that don't give out receipts, how do you record what sales you have made for your accounts?

I use a computer package called Quickbooks.

There are many similar packages available.

hiya, im mobile and i give a reciept everytime. It just makes it so much easier for me to keep a record, obviously you have your diary to go on but of course there are times when the client decides to have more/less of your service so the price booked then adjusts.

I record mine on the clients record card, the CND one has a column marked out for retail sales, having these cards has helped me with my accounts as everything is on the one card, much simpler xx

I use my salon appointment book to record the total of all treatments done individually and totalled up at the end of the week.

I have a small cash book (can be bought from any stationers)
I put the date at the top of the page
then write down every treatment and price i took for it
or write retail and the item then price i took for it
total it all up at the end of the day

then in the back of the book i write the total for what i took each week, then i can see at a glance which week was good and which week was bad hth
