am looking forward to watching this tonight. I missed last week when she investigated hypnotherapy.

the doctor did a series a while back and I really enjoyed them as she didn't go in to with preconceived ideas but allowed the evidence and the experiences to unfold.

anyone else watching?

I am looking forward to it too as it is my least favourite subject at college, hoping this might change my view point.

oh thanks for the pointer .. I hadnt realised this was on and I think it will be very interesting. :)

I watched it and thought it was very interesting. I have Reflexology on my feet once a month and don't feel its a miracle cure, but its my treat to myself and I love it.
I have to say I wasn't surprised that they didn't come up with much scientific evidence( apart from the reduced cortisone and areas of stress in brain with massage). But just because it can't be explained doesn't mean it doesn't work and there's a lot to be said for the power of touch!
(I'm off to hug a tree:))

basically,i feel the power of touch is amazing....i have an open mind, this is the one thing i found,in France, that some doctors and medics encourage alongside orthodox medicine....it was a very intersting eye opener, and has given me alot to think on.

I thought it was a very interesting programme, and quite balanced. She obviously is a very open-minded person and willing to give things a try.

But I do think that there are some things that do work, although at the moment there is no scientific evidence to prove that they do. Scientists are still trying to figure out precisely how the body works, so it's no wonder really that they can't always find the proof they're looking for. If a treatment works for you, then it works for you.
