Reiki and depression

Hi just after some advice we have just found out my grandad has a tumour on the brain, my Nan suffers with depression and she has gone into a really bad session, if I did reiki could it help with her depression as my grandad really needs her, and she has stopped visiting him and has taken to her bed which is having a knock on effect on my dad and aunt.
If reiki would not help is there and other holistic therapy's that could help.

Reiki done in the right way should most definately help youe nan. A good reiki session and appropriate aftercare should do her the world of good. If you can get her to have regular treatments or "top ups" it would be beneficial too. Can you do distance healing yet?
