Reiki training - your experiences of it?

I did Reiki level 1 for a few reasons.

I felt I was picking up lots of negative energy from clients and needed to learn how to manage that.
Losing my Mum last year very suddenly caused a few emotional issues, this really, really helped.
And I met some absolutely wonderful people that I now class as close friends.

I'm now undergoing treatment for cancer and the reiki has really helped me to accept the diagnosis and be very calm and rational about it, my reiki tools have come in very handy, it's also something that I can have done whilst having treatment when lots of other therapies are not advised.

I'm doing level 2 as soon as I've got the all-clear which I'm feeling very positive will be the outcome.
