Which one of CND liquids / monomers are you using most? As far as I know the Retention + is most popular (especially for lifting problems), but from your practise, is there real difference in their qualities and if yes, then could you tell?

I Will really appreciate

Hi, personally I use Rentention +. We got this and Radical in our kits in college, and Ive only used Radical once as I ran out of Rentention. You have to use the primer with the radical and I thought it was much easier to use the rentention + xx

I know most people do, but you don't actually have to use primer with Radical, it is primer optional.HTH

Ah right, I never knew that! Because I am still only training at college in extensions, I just go with what they teach us. Thats why I find it so helpful on here :) Thanks xx

You're welcome......initially when training it is best to use the primer with it, as it is a prep booster and give you a bit of a safety net IYKWIM, but as you get more confident in your application skills, try and see how you get on without it!!

I was reading that the Radical is for clients whos lifestyle is quite active as it makes strong nails, whereas Retention + is more for clients who have problems with lifting. Would be great to know what are your observations in reality - is that true?
And should I use different liquids for different people?

So guys, what do you use, prefer and see as the best of CND liquids and why?
...really need your advice...

Ok......

I use all 3 liquids, my main liquid is Retention+ it is what I trained with and I am comfortable using it.....on the whole I get great results with it, however I have a couple of clients that didn't seem to be able to keep their nails on. When I switched them over to Radical hey presto perfect nails. These ladies are V. busy and V. clumsy.

Over the winter months on the Ladies who I would normally use Retention on I swap to Moxie as it sets quicker, same results but a faster set time which is great in the colder weather as retention takes too long for me.

Hope has said it perfectly. xx

Thanks, also I hope I`ll be able to use the Moxie some day as I am not sure it could work for me now as it`s quick one :)

We could always sit in the fridge and try it out together LOL

Use them BOTH :)

Every client is different. Using just one type of monomer on them all is like giving them all perms with bleached blond hair- Doesn't work on everyone now, does it? ;)

Use Radical on your clients that are tough on their nails- and I mean TOUGH. Think women that have horses, do construction- these are not women who are dainty with their hands.

Retention+ is for clients that are prone to lifting.

Moxie is a fast set monomer, with great clarity and no bubbles.

I keep all three in Haircolor bottles labeled by name, and use all three equally. The odd man out is Brisa Gel, and I use that on women that already have tough nails.

It's best to use L&P on women with soft, flimsy nails, and Brisa UV Gel on clients with stronger, tougher nail plates :)

Absolutely agree.

So is the ratio the same using Radical please?

Yes- 1pt powder to 1.5 pts liquid- go check out the tutorials on mix ratio to get a good idea of what you need to see visually :)
