Do you still do zone 2 and 3 seperately or do them both with one bead.

I have seen the tutorial and have had a practice doing zone 2 and 3 with one bead but I was taught that zone 2 builds the apex.

I'm not sure if I'm getting as good a shape doing it in one bead.

It would still be possible to do zone 2 first, then get your smile near the free edge.
Then go onto zone 3 at the cuticle.
Then put zone 1 on butting it up to zone 2 as shown.

Just wondered about techs who already use this technique how do you do it?

Morning!

Love this technique....

I do zone 2 and zone 3 seperately, to ensure that there is an apex etc.

IMO, if you're using one bead you're running the risk of the nail being too flat.

Hope this helps.

Do however many beads as you want.
If you feel comfortable using seperate beads for zones 2 & 3, then use them.

bernadette is right, as long as the structure and stress point is correct the balance is right do what ever feels right for you...reverse, zones 1-3 one bead method there is no right or wrong way as long as you have the right result

I will try the zone 2 and 3 seperately.

I got a really crisp smile line with this technique.

I will definately be carrying on practicing.

Thank you.

i do them together (you use your brush to flatten in the right place and leave height in the right place), it depends on which brand acrylic, as to how it sets up.

im going to try reverse application method as i thought you had to do it in 1 and not seperately..... this is why i love this forum its soooo helpfull

Hi all

I teach all my students the revers application as they can achive almost perfect smile lines from day one.

I personally use one bead for pink making sure it is nice and thin at the back at the eponychium and almost a ski jump effect at the stress area.

The best thing I can advise is if you are still having problems contact one of the Young nails educators in your area a they specialise in revers application and trouble shooting.

Hope this has been of help to you
