I was just faffing about with my nails today and after a couple attempts at practicing my smile lines and not being happy with them I decided to try out the reverse application instead, its the first time Ive done a full set using this method and I really enjoyed doing it and on top of that my smile lines look lovely =D.

Anyways getting to the point, how would you do an infill/rebalance?

I did overlays and looking at past threads all i could really find as an answer was to file down the free edge and then using a form to recreate the tip, but as they are my natural nails I don't really fancy filling them down?

and also if you where doing a tip and overlay reverse application would you still file down the free edge and then use a form when it came to the infill?

Really in one what I want to know is is there a way to do a infill/rebalance in the same method as doing the original set or would you just do the normal rebalance?

hope that makes sense as im starting to confuse myself now lol.

Thanks
Annabel x

P.S I'm about to post a picture of them in my album so any comments welcome on areas that I could improve.

you could always just really thin them out over zone 1 and 2. then reapply your zone 2/3 and shape the smile line then apply your zone 1.
you are going to have to work very thinly though overall and make sure your application is good as too much filing will cause you to file through the newer product on top....which i have done lots of times lol!!

this is the way i would try and so it aswell as my nails are also my own so im with you in that i dont want to file the free edge down and sculpt a new one.x

look on young nails website pritty sure they have a vid on this...... hope this helps

Check the video on youtube. Type in acrylic nails and have a look at videos posted by a guy (i think) called nailzoo. He's fantastic and he shows a few ways of doing infills/rebalances. I can watch him for hours. Hope that helps.

Thank-you for all your replies

Applying thinly sounds like an idea that I will have to try, but I'm not too sure how well that will go on my right hand lol, It's a pain as well because I am right handed I automatically go to show my right hand when people ask to have a look or its the hand they notice more as I use it more to hold things etc., but it is my less well done hand as it is much harder to do.

I will go check the videos now to see what other methods can be used as well.
