Just got some well-less tips delivered, think they are brilliant! I tried out reverse application for first time. I've ran out of NSI pink masque for the mo so improvised and used the gold glitter cause she got bitten nails. Think i'll do some gold swirls or acrylic flowers on the white tip just to soften the look a bit more when i get chance. But just wanted to practice reverse app. and smile lines for now, so what do you think anyway?

That gold is wicked:lol: is that a glitter you mixed up yourself? and who did you get the well less tips from.
one of the nails is a little bit pointy in the smile line, don't forget that when you are doing reverse app you can always take your file, edge on and smooth the pink into a better curve before you add zone 1. apart from that, nice work hun:hug:

Thankyou, the glitter is NSI Glistening Gold. The smile line on that finger looked ok, but when i came to shape & finish there was a ridge that i had to file out and so the smile went a bit wobbly. Do you cover with clear to avoid this because i tried that on some fingers and they did come out better?

Nope:) I apply zone 3 & 2 in that order, so concentrating on getting a nice thin cuticle area with the bulk of the product naturally being pushed behind the brush into zone 2, then if needed, i.e. better apex you can add more product and push that smile line in. I work all 5 nails this way and then return to the first nail to start zone 1 this way the product is hard and if the smile isn't quiet what I want I can swipe my file, edge on, to the smile and reshape it. Then on goes the white or what ever and if it goes over its not a drama because you are going to file away the excess when you shape and the crisp smile will be revealed.
Now, I will just add, I learned to do this out of curiosity and used it on nail biters as a nice way to extend the nail bed while keeping control of the shape of the finished nail.
But I actually prefer the way I was taught by creative, maybe its because it was the first way I was taught, or its just me being perverse:eek: but I find it easier:confused:
