As some of you know I've been struggling with my acrylics especially the smile lines.. I've just completed these and I'm chuffed.. Thanks to young nails and all the lovely geeks who gave me great advice.x😄. ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1339708521.649791.jpg

To other geeks who are struggling keep going don't give up it will get better.😃

Well done, you should be really proud of yourself :hug:xx

they're beautiful, might have a look at young nails! xx

These are lovely.... I struggle with l&p at the mo x

Thanks I really appreciate it, I just wanted to show other struggling techs how practice, sheer determination and finding what works for you along with listening to the advice really pays off.
I've been learning acrylics from nov and had real lows lately but when you have a great nail day its the best feeling ever. I've a way to go yet but feel I've turned a wee corner..x

Hey Amy I've just realised your a fellow Northern Ireland geek, our numbers are growing lol..

Hey was the young nails training expensive?

Well done. They look great

They look great, never tried the reverse technique, but they are great smiles x

They are fab ;-) love the colour x

I love the reverse sculpts, so easy to extend the nail bed, so easy to set everything up perfectly before moving on to the tip. Well done you.

Thanks all for your postive comments.:D

well done! lovely!!

I am currently learning this, done my course, forgot it all and havnt practiced for weeks, its so frustrating and takes ages! but i imagine ill get there very soon, patience is a must eh! Thanks for your story xxx

Well done, they look great :)

I struggle with the smile line too, I have been qualified in acrylics and gel for 3 years now but still get frustrated and end up taking 3 hours to do a set that I'm totally not happy with at the end of it all (only practicing on family, no paying clients yet lol). I did young nails training back in 2009, haven't really done any nails since, picked up a brush and practiced on myself the other night reverse application - so much better than all my failed attempts at the traditional way :p Love their products too and all Greg's videos, he makes it look so easy!!

Check out the new video from young nails, few tips to help u x

I've always loved the reverse technique. I perfected the technique on nail biters because putting a tip on the nail just wasn't practical.

It became my preferred method for short nails, too.
