Its my nans 90th birthday next month(not doing bad bless her), she is havibng a family get together and I am go0ing to make her nails look really good.
My question is, she has quite ridgey nails and although I have Ridge Out in my kit I have never actually used it- so which one of the following is the correct steps to follow

a) base coat, ridge out, colour, topcoat
b) ridge out, base coat, colour, topcoat
c) ridge out, colour, topcoat (no base coat)

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Thanks

Option C hun,
the ridge out acts as a base coat hth

C!! Ridge out, colour, top coat - no need for a base coat! And i hope your nan loves her nails and has a great birthday!! xx

Ridge Out is a great product and option C, your G will love her nails for her birthday celebrations xxx

Thanks all for our comments.

I find Ridge Out excellent. You'll find it makes a big difference and it doesn't come out the colour that you see in the bottle. It's a much lighter colour.

Creative Ridge Out makes natural nails look like they have been enhanced; the surface is so smooth.

Don´t forget to exfoliate the surface of the natural nails before using ScrubFresh to ´squeak´. The enamel will last much longer. A light coat of Solar Oil to dry the polish and they will look Fandabbydosy!! Happy Birthday to Nan.

Essential nails do one called ridge filler. Not meaning to be dopey, but can you use it on top of acrylics (under nail polish) if you get little dents? only asking because I can't seem to get my nails smooth yet. Its driving me mad!

W·hy wouldn't you be able to?

Try it and see but don't rely on it to get you out of trouble ... work toward getting that perfect smooth surface.

CND Ridge out is a brilliant base coat but if using 'other brands' ridge fillers I have found they may have a drying affect on the nail plate so use base coat, ridge filler, colour top coat. hth
