Hi Guys

Last week I put clear gel on my right hand and had a go at glitter...... It was ok !

This week I thought I would give the dastardly full well tips another go........again on my right hand.

The query is should I buff the existing clear gel back to the natraul nail or could I buff it until its really fine and then glue the tip on?

If I do this would I be best to put some primer on the tip of my nail first or just go with the glue ?????????????????????????

If it's only been a week, why not leave them be? They should still be fine?

When working with gel, I prefer to leave a thin layer of gel between the natural nail and the 'art' so that when it's time to remove the art, I can buff away till it's gone, and know I haven't touched the natural nail. Kind of like a 'safety'. But why glue? Can you sculpt? If using tips, I would remove all product, then adhere the tip with adhesive.

If I do this would I be best to put some primer on the tip of my nail first or just go with the glue ?????????????????????????
Never apply primer to product, nor 'tip'. Only to the natural nail.

Hi Victoria, Thanks for your comments, I do have reasons for doing this hand again mainly because I can not get at anyone at short notice !

1) I am redoing them because they were a practice only and whilst at the ez flow roadshow on sunday Anthony sculped a pyramid on my thumb that had to come off. (and beleive me that was a nightmare !!!)

2)My homework this week is tips, I was supposed to do my niece but she has had to cancel so I will need to do it on my self. I was going to practice with the full well ones (because I don't like doing them) but the homework is for white and clear gel.

3) My left hand already has a set of pink of white sculpts on that I really want to leave alone so that I can do maintenance on them...........another reason to take the glitter ones off.

4) lastly when I said glue I actually ment my Ezflow adhesive.

Lol a bit lengthy. I really do appreciate your comments I sometimes find that people look at the question and then move on....... It can be a bit frustrating.

You're most welcome!
A shame that you can't find a hand model.
And honestly, I wasn't critisizing your choice of words (glue vs adhesive) and only realized how it might have come across after I read your answer. SORRY!!

I hope that my answers helped.

Lol no offence taken at all.

It is a bit of a bugger having to do it on myself all the time but at least I can only complain to myself !!!...... and after you have filed your own cuticles a couple of times you know not to do it to some one else...............todays lesson learnt is to not to overfile when 'buffing'................its called 'buffing' for a reason lol !!!!
