Thank you Mrs RSM for your kind comments. Its been a very hard and rocky road for me learning Shellac and the whole nail polishing thing - but feel a bit more positive about it all now.

thank you
xx

A few more I did yesterday :)

These are great how did you manage not to get colours to blend in the stripped ones. Mine ended been like a colour fade.

A few more I did yesterday :)

These are stunning! I have started to do the rock star with gelicure using the martha stewart gliiters

How do you get that lovely definition/clean blend between the different colours?

Do you apply glitter straight from its container or some other method?

First attempts Rockstar with gems and fading . Used bio sculpture and glitters from boyes !!! Lol :) ... Gonna go to hobby craft today and treat myself to more glitter :-D gonna introduce these to my beauty room end of November after more practice :) love doing them

With great difficulty lol this is my first attempt at three colours together,

My glitters are in shaker pots and I just tapped each colour on hoping they stayed separate, I need a bit more practise at these though!

Thank you for your kind comment :) xx

Hi thank you very much!

I did apply the glitter straight from my shaker pots and I use it with shellac.

Did my pep and base coat then cured for 10 secs,

Then applied beau and then just tapped it on to an uncured layer of beau cured for 2 mins then lightly brushed over with a nail brush,

applied 2 top coats and cured both for 2 mins each :) xx

Thank you Sarah ... when you say you brushed it over with nail brush is this to lift off excess? I havent been doing this and can see how it would improve it ... what kind of nail brush do you mean please?

I use a nsi plush brush just after ive cured the glitter, I just find it removes excess and smoothes the glitter ready for the top coat hth x

brilliant thanks for the help will give it a go

Hey Geeks,

Does ne one else have the problem of still feeling the rough glitter after 2 layers of shellac topcoat??? im following the steps correctly just cant seem to get the smooth finish! im using extra fine glitter and brush away the excess before the topc coat... ive tried 3 coats of top coat and they have peeled off within a few days? can any one help with this problem???

I often get the odd patch that feels rough to touch that is with 2 top coats i have put this down to me not being careful enough when putting the top coat on.

I have a problem with rockstar fingers, i have tried being extra careful and ensuring i get nice and close to the edges with the colour/clear coat but i have been finding after a few days the glitter is wearing away round the edge of the nail, the free edge is fine just down the side of the nail wall, any advice on how to stop this happening? I am ensuring i cover it with top coat and nothing comes of the nail when i wipe with d-sperse, so i can't understand what is going on. I haven't done any on paying clients yet (just myself and family) just because i don't want this happening to them. Any ideas?

Martha Stewart Glitters are the best to work with fo rockstar :) x you can buy them on line or from Hobbycraft x :D gorgeous colours too x

Here's my attempts......
