Roller wax head cleaning

I'm new to waxing and I am starting to use roller waxing on my friends and family and I am getting in a real state trying to get the roller heads clean. Anyone got any tips please?

I spray them with wax equipment cleaner after every client whilst they are still hot & still attached to the wax cartridge. Then wipe over with a clean paper wax strip turning the roller head as you go until all stickiness gone.

Then I clean them with salon systems roller head cleaner. You can then unscrew from cartridge & also pop them in hot soapy water after that. Hth.

I think the trick is to do it while the wax is still hot, comes off much easier than if you let them get gungey!

I have a small round airtight tub, I put wax remover in there and put the heads in it to melt the wax off, I say round because I can pick it up to swish it around. I'll then remove them from that tub and rinse with boiling water, then wash with hot soapy water, then rinse with cold water. Then leave them in some Barbicide to sanitise them. Then rinse again and then leave to dry.

Sounds a right faff, but when I was using roller heads regularly I would have five or six at a time to clean and this isn't that labour intensive but is really thorough at getting them clean and wax free.

I also clean mind when they are still warm.I put them straight into a be container of surgical spirit and leave them to soak for a while...over night if poss.I then rinse them in hot soapy water and dry them thoroughly.

I wouldnt use surgical spirit to clean the heads as it can cause the plastic to go brittle over time. I was told this by Hive at a show many moons ago.

Use wax remover on the heads whilst warm.

When I used a roller system I did what fozzyo does and kept a container full of cleaner and then changed them for every new client and left them to soak. so much easier.

I get some couch roll in my hand, put the roller on top, roller side down, pore a bit clear/oil in the head and roll on the couch roll till all the wax has gone. I do this after every client.

white spirits - it is the best thing to clean wax off with then surgical spirit to sanitise

When you bought them was the heads already on them? If so u cant remove them. They are disposable. I use the rollers for legs only as it is enough to cover the area then bin them. I use my pot wax for underarms, facial areas, bikini and so on.

I find that the roller wax pulls hair when u are rolling and cause discomfort to the client.
