hi everyone

1)could anyone let me know what brand of colours they use for this technique

2)also why u would use this technique

3) what base colours you use

4) would it be 2/3/4etc shades darker from the natural base or coloured hair etc

hope this makes sense lol

pictures would be great, b4 and after to see also the end result

1) I use wella. The product depends on my starting point but I'm likely to use illumina or colour touch.

2) There are reasond why you'd do a root stretch:
- To add dimension to a full head of foils
- To transition someone from foils or full head tint/bleach to a balayage
- To help fix ghost spots on a balayage if you're just starting out doing it

They just help give more cohesion to a certain look.

3 and 4) it honestly depends on the clients natural depth, the colour on the midlengths and ends and the desired look. You wouldn't want to use a 5 on someone who is naturally an 8 and a 10 on mids and ends for example.

Hope that helps.
