Roots stretch

My client has natural roots about an inch of a base 8 and looks ashy. We have old bleach highlights and faded out tint on the rest. She wants a root stretch close to her natural but warm. Using koleston perfect what should I use? My first thought was 7/07 but will this come up really warm so do I use 7/0 with it? Personally I think it would be better to go to a 6 but she wants to keep it close to natural. Opinions please.

I can't help as I don't know wella well enough but I would go in with a quasi rather than permanent.

I think she's right! Light roots on a root stetch isn't cute.
