So I've seen my GP today & been told my skin issue is Rosacea. Been prescribed mild cream to start off with.
Just wondering if someone else suffers on here and have and tips or advice. Food to avoid etc that also helped.

There is some very good advice on the NHS website as regards foods to avoid and other things like that. Have you come back from the docs with a leaflet ?
Your skin is super sensitive and you have got to be very careful not to use anything that is too harsh or active at all. I have clients with the condition, 1 pre menopasal and the other 2 developed it around menopause.
One of my clients is on a mild anti -biotic almost permanently her skin is so bad. This help with the annoying pustules she gets. She is a keep fit instructor and exercise makes the condition worse.
She wears La Roche Posay products and very thick theatrical make up for her classes to avoid the bright red cheeks, nose and forehead. That seems to work.
Another client used a prescription cream called skinoren which was a mild azelaic acid to help with the more acne areas.
Don't get too upset as there are good products out there and make up can be our best friend afterall.
Good wishes RosieR

Thank you for you reply its really appreciated.
No i was not given any leaflets.
I've been started off on a mild cream 'rozex'. I'm only 27 so docter did say abit young to maybe be getting it now.
I plan on reviewing my diet in regards to food etc to help along the way.
I sufferd Psoriasis really bad for years in my teens, luckily for now, its cleared, but I'm gutted im having to now tackle a whole new issue. Hopefully the cream helps if not, she did suggest antibiotics for the foreseeable (fingers crossed)
I will have a look on the NHS site. Thank You Rosie

I have rosacea and don’t use anything from the gp for it now, I’ve literally had everything they can offer. I just have a super simple routine and it works great for me but it’s been lots of trial and error to find what works for me :) I’m 28

Many thanks for your courteous reply, I am sure you will find some other products that suit you as you get to try things out. As scrubadud says her routine is very simple and that will be best for you.
I had really bad skin in my late 20's and you do feel awful when we are in the jobs that we do. Everyone expects us to have the perfect recipe for all problems....but it is never that easy. For me acne at 16 then acne rosacea at 28 ...what a bad deal. I looked awful. Got there in the end and I am not scarred by the condition luckily, but I was never a picker.
I sympathise with your psoriasis ( as if you haven't had enough skin problems!) my hubbie started with it at 14 years old. His skin is very dry so if yours can be dry too you will need to find very light hypoallegenic moisturisers to counteract the drying effect of the rosex treatment.
Sensitivity is the main problem as you well know you will flush like crazy the moment you touch your face when applying anything. So don't rub anything into it , use light strokes and let it sink in.
If you need any other help or a good moan about anything , just ask away.
Good luck with the rozex today

I would also recommend seeing a therapist specialising in skincare. Great skincare can make the world of difference and I'm afraid many doctors don't have a clue about skin.

Have a look at what's available. We offer great treatments to actually treat rosacea.

Hi Zoey. Not sure if you have these treatments available to you, but a series of 3 IPL “photo” facials on my face, chest, and arms worked wonders for me. None of the Rx creams I tried before that seemed to work. It’s been 9 years and my Rosacea (and the redness/flushing) are still very minimal compared to my skin prior to IPL.
