Salon not open today....a policeman was murdered.

Hi all,

I turned up to my salon this morning to find the whole road closed, the whole town centre for that matter.

Its all over BBC News 24 at the moment, but a police officer was stabbed to death at the bottom of the road that my salon is on at 7.20am this morning. Two other people were also stabbed, and the attacker was shot. Forensics are crawling over my salon and the whole road.

Such a sad day, he was only 36.

My thoughts are with his family.

Not only that, but about half an hour ago, someone then decided to jump off of the roof of a gym, again, right near my salon, but even nearer to my apartment. The police helicopter is buzzing overhead as I type.

It makes me wonder what the hell I am doing in this god awful town.

I know how you feel. My next door neighbour knocked to tell me that her Brother in Law murdered his best friend with his bare hands just over a week ago... checked his pulse the following day... then told his counsellor the following week he had killed someone...

I hate hearing stuff like this, I choose to ignore it as much as I can.

I have seen this on TV but didnt think for one minute that it was near you.

There are actually cameras pointing up the road my salon is on. Aparently it was a window cleaner that got randomly attacked, two passers by tried to help, also got stabbed, then the policeman.

This is why I do not watch the news very often anymore.
It is all mayhem. A world gone crazy.

there just seems to be so much of this going on at the moment, its a real shame

Yeah the world is a scary place. I don't understand how one human being can do that to another. It makes me feel sick thinking about it.

Also scares me because my husband is just passing out as a policeman and will be out on the streets in just over a month. I try not to watch the news too much but sometimes you can't help hearing about some things.

The poor family, I hope they are ok and I never get that dreaded knock at the door that poor lady had to get today.

Im in Luton town centre bexi we are kind of neighbours I suppose!

Well, its 9pm now and the road is still all closed off. I dont even know if they will allow people down there tomorrow. I was fully booked this week too.

the violence in these towns is ridiculous.

I'm am sure your clients will understand and if they dont you wouldnt want them as clients anyways!!!!
