Hi All,

I have read many threads regarding salon software. I have looked at a couple of companies that i like the sound of but do not want to make an expensive mistake.

Have any of you used any of these? Or do you have a preference. I have a strict budget as i am purchasing the hardware too. Can you tell me how much the text service is too?

Hi, I have just looked at the websites and both these providers seem fine, on one of the websites it states the prices for the texts as £25 for 250 which is 10p a text! I would however quiry the salon solutions system as the price says one years support, what is the yearly cost after that and is there a licencing cost on top of this?? The platinum software dosnt include their prices on their website but im sure you have done your research!

I have mentioned a number of times on here, we have used Platinum Software in our salon for a number of years now, I cannot praise it enough. It does all that you need it too - and more, and is very well priced (I do know they do not publish prices on their website as this allows them a lot of flexibility to suit your budget if necessary)
They allow you to pay over a period of time without charging any extra which may be something that suits you.
Text messaging, we use the company they recommend (but I think you can look for others that will work with their software) they have been very reliable and do offer different text messaging prices depending again on your needs.

The one thing I have found invaluable with Platinum, they are a small family business and always ready to help, you become a member of their family and get to feel very comfortable with them and their support. I think if you call them they will give you any more info you may need.

Our text services start from 10p a text also and you can buy them in bundles of 500, 1000, or 2500. The messages are used as appointment reminders for clients if you are wanting to help reduce the problem of no shows and they are also used for marketing your business, our software has numerous in built marketing campaign messages and allows you to create your own using any filter you wish.
