Hi, I have recently completed training using products from Salonserve and just wanted to know if anyone else was using their products and what you think eg compared to other products. I have had some problems with lifting at the edges and cuticle, but not sure if it is down to the product, the client or my inexperience. Wondering what your experiences are and whether I should try another brand?
Thanks

I love Salonserve for everything else but have never tried their enhancement products.

I use as much salonserve stuff as possible. From my experiance I would say their packadging is cheap, but the products are good. I have never had a problem.

If you have a problem, give them a call, see what they say. Or - in detail - say what you used and how please?

Also post any photos, etc?

Thanks for feedback. I'm wondering if it is just certain clients that have problems with lifting more than others. Some I have done have been fine, but one in particular, who has quite thin, weak and brittle nails, does keep having a problem, although they feel that they have lasted longer than extensions they have had done in the past.

Clients do vary and at first so will your prep. It will take a while for you to be able to assess your clients and adapt. Some clients need meticulous prep so, in the end, you will learn that prep is just so important and take more time over it.

Having said that, I, personally would not purchase my L&P from Salonserve. It may be great but it is unlikely that it has the same qualities that the leading brands have.

You would probably get on better with Young Nails, CND, NFU Oh etc. These are good companies with training facilities and expert advice for their customers.

I am all for a bargain, Salonserve are fab for all your other bits and pieces, I cut my costs for couch rolls, wipes, acetone, wax, oils etc by half a couple of years ago without losing quality. The packaging looks a bit cheap but those products are excellent, but with L&P and Gel I really believe you need the expertise that the leading companies provide.

Thanks, this was what I was thinking to be honest. Have some stock still to use up but this will be okay for those that have not had too much of a problem, but am seriously looking at CND conversion course. Have just received a sample of their Retention + and had a quick go on one of my nails. Could see a difference, finishes off better, appears to have more control, but had to work a lot quicker! Did end up with some air bubbles as well, but know I need to ensure I swish the brush around in monomer properly etc.
