Has anyone managed to get their hands on this phone yet.... I am looking to get one and wanted to know what you thought??

I have read a lot of reviews on a site I go on for all up and coming phones - GSMArena.com - GSM reviews, opinions, votes, manuals, ringtones and more... - So if your looking for a new phone, you can get a lot of info from this site.

So if you have this new Samsung, I'd like to hear your opinions

I like the sound of this phone too. Most of the reviews I have read have rated it at least as good as or if not better than the iphone.

Got another 2 months to go on my contract with Orange and will then try and get a good deal with them to upgrade. Hopefully there will be more stock by then !!

Let us know what you think if you manage to get one.

I use to go mad on the "newest" phone out !! dont bother now as i am happy with my phone. It has lasted me well.

My son got a new phone and it lasted 2 months. He now wants the i-phone (another waste of money!!)

I called up 02, who I am with, and asked them to recommend a phone which had a good diary, as I want to use this instead of lugging one around - And after a long chat with a helpful adviser, they recommended the 02 Ignito.

As there are so many, I seem to be spoilt for choice!

I would like one with internet browsing, and lots of deals now offer unlimited use - So I can make orders, go on salon geek, and also, they have word & excel, so when I am waiting around I can be getting on with something, rather than wishing I was at home tied to my laptop working on all the boring stuff

Does anyone has a phone with good Micrsoft apps, or diary facility?

That's exactly what I want it for too !

The Omnia looks like a step up from the Ignito from what I can see. Might be worth waiting for.

does anyone know of a way of getting out of a contract? i used to lower the existing contract down to the lowest tariff poss then get a new one on a low tariff too so it was like paying for one phone.
Otherwise im waiting till next feb to upgrade.

Who are you with ? Sometimes they let you upgrade early on 18month contracts. Depends on what you are paying monthly probably.

Worth asking them tho !

Samsung Omnia or 02 Ignito. I don't actually want to leave O2 as they are really good, and have offered me lots of texts & minutes, with free internet thrown in, with the phone for £25 a month!!

But, Dial a phone have the Samsung available now, along with a few other stores.

What to do - You have a phone for 18 months so I want to know it does exactly what I want, or I'll end up seeing something in a couple of months and wish I'd waited (I have done this for the last 10 months already), how better can the phones get??

Isn't it difficult trying to decide on "THE" phone?

I've been trying to decide on a new phone for ages. I want great organising (calendar, alarms, etc) texting, Email, Internet for browsing. Decent sized easy read screen. Dont care about camera, documents, video or music, but heres the tough one... easy operation and not too bulky.

Like previously said, once purchased uou really are stuck with it for a time. I have just about given up.. unless..... anyone can make any suggestions ???

I have just ordered the 02 Ignito - It has a stylus - Pocky pen, so the touch screen doesn't need to be too fiddly, you can use it to access all functions. Look on GSM Arena and I think this is the phone, without waiting too long before a new one comes out.

Let me know if anyone has this phone, or is looking to order it

ive got the pink nokia 7373 and ive had it for about 18mths.i was due an upgrade back in may but i havent been that bothered as nothing has come out that i really like and to be honest i am still not bored with my phone yet i dont feel ive had it that long.
anyway ive since seen that samsung have bought the tocco phone out in purple which is my favourite colour and im wondering wheather to get it or not? has anyone else got one?
p.s ive heard that the i phone is coming out on orange just incase anyone was interested.x

Just got my Ignito, and so far, although I haven't played with it for hours yet, it is very good. It is sleek, and the screen is a very good size. The actually screen looks more like a PC rather than a mobile phone, regarding the functions etc.

You can up load word & excel documents so for someone like me on the go, I can get on with things.

It has a stylus (Pokey pen) so it gets you used to the touch screen if your new to it, and it has hand writing recognition so you can actually write things, along with a qwerty keyboard - If your used to typing, it's funny how useful this is.

Any questions, feel free to either join onto the thread or PM me. If your anything like me, even asking about the smallest of things makes a difference before taking the plunge on a new phone.

Overall, very happy. Need to sit down with the CD as it shows you everything and all of the functions about the phone

ive just ordered the omina, rang vodafone and explained that i didnt want to leave them but really wanted an upgrade early. so they did me a deal and ill get it tomorrow!
