School Fete Advice please!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well??

Just a question for you all....I've been told that you need to be CRB checked to do face painting at schools now does that extend to nail art as well???

Only i've got a stack of stickers/Decals and Nail Jewellery and need to get it moving so that i can buy some more bits (Just addicted to nails!!) and thought that might be a novel way to raise a bit of money for the school and maybe pick up a few clients!

Anyone with any advice would be gratfully received!

that's a tricky one. I used to work at a school, and everyone was CRB checked - but no-one was for school fetes, dances or plays (parents wanting to help etc) certainly were not.

I do know for sure that it is not even so much about how you are interacting with children, it is just that you are - in any way.

Short answer is technically yes, I would assume, but that may be overkill. From an insurance point of view, if you are performing any sort of procedure on minors, you should seek full parental consent in each case.

I will check with the school as well but will sort out some parental consent forms.
