What a fantastic day !

A massive thanks to Derek, Christine, Isabel. Yvonne, Victoria and Sam and the lovely Fake Bake team.

Learned loads and I am inspired even more to get cracking with my L & P skills. ( I am also the proud owner of a Sam Design nail).

lovely to meet so many lovely geeks.

Fab day fab goody bag and a great day of NAILS!

What more could a geek ask for:hug:

Yep it was fab, thanks to all involved. I am also sporting a sam nail which is unbelievable!!! I also have to say I found Victoria Smith to be totally inspirational too, she was great.

Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who attended our Design and Fantasy Nail Seminar today. It was a fantastic day I'm sure you'll all agree, and if anyone left the building not inspired and hungry for more I'd be very surprised.

It was our pleasure to have you all along, and also to have the incredibly talented Sam Bibble and Victoria Smith visit us for the weekend.

It was a long time in the planning - and the setting up - but so, so worth it to see the look on some of the faces when the demo's were underway.

I had a great vantage point when Sam commenced her first step by step and it was funny to watch the jaws hit the floor as she created her first leaf of the tropical flower design!!

Some say the design element of the business can't be used in the salon and that no-one including the client is interested. It is only for playing with? Well I think today showed that the Scottish techs have a hunger to learn something new and exciting - and that is exactly what we intend to continue to provide a platform for.

The EzFlow team are all shattered tonight - but in a good way!

Thanks again, and see you all next time.

Pictures to follow.......

Cheers

Derek

OMG, what can I say I am buzzing after that. Hat of to Derek, Christine, Izzi and Yvonne for all their hard work, Scotland is stuck in dark ages no longer!!!!!!

Sam,Victoria, Izzi and Christine were fantastic producing wonderful nails. It was lovely to meet so many lovely people too.

I had 2 nails done, one by our lovely Izzi and one by Sam and when I got home I took my boots off and got my colours out!

Althought the artists today were demoing I couldn't wait to have a go myself so roll on the fantasy workshop. Izzi has taken pics of my Sam Biddle nail and hopefully she will post it for me as I took it off as soon as I got in to save it

I have attached 2 pics for you to see my first attempt warts and all, got over zelous and ended up with some holes in my leaves but it adds character I think!!lmao I want to have these pics on here and post one in a few months time to see if I have progressed. Omg I am like a coiled spring tonight. Totally inspired, thank you thank you Derek and all the EzFlow Scotland team, I am so proud to be a part of it.

Good grief ......pics on already!
I was sound asleep by the time they were getting posted.!!

Pic 4 is the lovely Fifitrix, who was first into my demo chair , which was great, having someone I already knew and could chat away to!
Pic 5 is Marioned having a demo nail done by Christine!!
The last pic is of the rose that the wonderful Sam Biddle created on Fifi, and is much better than the one I took!!

Thanks again to everyone, for making it such a great day, and don't forget about the little impromptu competition idea we had!!
The creative juices should be flowing now, and I am sure we will get some good pictures from all technicians who went home inspired.

Like Jax I found Victorias presentation was a highlight of the day, although I may be biased, as I did get to spend all day Saturday with her in a nail design workshop, and I know how motivating and good an Educator she is.

Thanks again!

well done to u all, dereck u r right the designs cant be used in the salon but shows your client the skill thet oyu have to create!!!!!!! all can be adapted to salon viable !!

Am I going mad???

I thought that I had posted this thread in the Nail Forum but it's in Chit Chat:eek:

Please tell me it has been moved and I am not having a Senior moment:eek:

I get confused easily I thought if it was about nails it went in the nail forum, skin in the Skin forum and Chit Chat for day to day off topic stuff.

I moved it to ChitChat (along with some Popit threads too) because they're not about application, but about the day that was enjoyed by those who went along.
If you click on the Nail Geek forum you'll see those threads which have been moved are highlighted in blue.

lol....looks like a great day was had by all.....workshops like this make you think outside the box....and even though you can't use fantasy designs with salon clients, what you learn can translate into your design work or even regurlar pink and whites in regard to knowing your product.

Hi Guys

I've attached a few more pics from the seminar for you to have a look at. As Caroline rightly says the designs can be adapted to be salon viable.

We managed to pack a huge amount into the day, from the weird and wonderful fantasy designs by Sam Biddle, the elegent competition series design by Victoria Smith to the salon viable designs by Christine and Isabel from EzFlow Scotland that the technician could integrate into their service menu immediately.

The feedback from the event has been unbelieveable. We have achieved what we set out to do, which was to INSPIRE......

I am immensely proud to be part of a team that contains such talented educators and technicians. I may even have been inspired to do a course myself........

Check out the flower design by Victoria Smith below - beautiful.

Cheer for now.

Thanks Sandi I don't start many threads so unless a thread is about application it goes in Chit Chat? I will bear that in mind

Loving the pics Derek, so when are you doing your course?

I have been busy tonight trying out different flowers, don't worry I'm not going to bore you all with each flower I do, but thought I show you this one, my 2nd attempt that I am reasonably happy with.

Fiona - I'm flabbergasted, that work is amazing!! Your development over the last year has been staggering.

I admire you Fiona, because your not afraid to give everything a go.

Regarding my course, well it may be sooner than you think.....
