Hey, you win some, you lose some Alex. Don`t take it too personally, it was a daring thing to do and there are probably just as many who like as those of us that don`t. I just think it is more suitable on a gay mag that a professional nail mag but if we were all the same opinion wouldn`t we be boring.
I have to say I have a few gay friends that love the pic.
Great contents however, keep up the good work.

I had exactly the same thing said to me by my partner - and heaven knows what conclusion the postie came to but, who cares :tongue: Personally I like the fact that Alex dared to be controversial but, I speak as someone who has gone against the grain most my life Thing that's surprised me most is that I seem to be the only person in my household who thought it was funny,why? because the male hand where it is, the look of ecstacy on Denny's face, and the title above his head - 'Scratch'...... not rude at all when you see it like that - just a friend obliging someone who has an er, ....itch!!! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Well if nothing else Alex, it certainly got people talking. That cover will forever take it's place in cover history as 'OMG did you see that picture........!'

Have to say though, not my cup of tea, yes I did see the male hand, yes I did laugh and oh yes, my eyes are now firmly planted back in my little ol' sockets :shock:

Well I quite liked it. It was a shock at first and when I took it in to work the Lads I work with snatched it off of me because they thought it was Porn! :shock:

They were gutted when they realised what it was! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

And I have to say that the content was fantastic! It is perfect for all my queries and it will be like a bible to me!

I like the cover because it is wild and different and completley bizarre! It is fun, and I think that this is what it is all about. It certainly has got people talking as well, and like they say 'All publicity is good publicity!'

well done alex like others are saying you've got em talking and that can only be a good thing not everyones cuppa tea the front cover but the contents goes from strength to strength! i thought it was funny although not really the type of thing i wanted my 10 year old to see when collecting the post fortunately she saw the funny side of it too and giggled all the way to school so it made her day.

mmmm yes...it was quite the topic of conversation in our household!!!
I was indifferent to be truthful perhaps a little shocked at how different the front cover was this time as opposed to last time!.....my better half was like "wot the.....@*!!*@!"
However I was more startled when my 14 yr old daughter commented....
"ohhh Mum whos he?"
after explaining about Leighton Denny she went on to say " mmm Fit Bod"

Must admit, tho I love the image - I don't think I'll be leaving it round for everyone in the salon to see (don't think my insurance will cover 60 year old's heart attacks!!! ). Although I'm quite open-minded, not all my clients are.

I also agree with the "Adult Reading" thang - and with scratch above it.....it could even be erring into the fetish scene .My b/friend also made comment about my reading matter!!!!

It's a great image, but not for the postie to see!!!

I think it would have been better used as a backdrop to an article about Leighton, and when I read the article about the shoot - on page 11, I did wonder to myself whether there had been a mix up with the photos & other publication mentioned?!?

I appreciate that you love the image Alex, but in future can elegance and sophistication be at the forefront. The Lulu image optimises these, and reminds me of the likes of Audrey Hepburn. We don't always need an image that focuses on the hands - that hat was just amazing!!!!

Sorry that you felt gutted about the response Alex. It's good to be keen to take a different approach, and if featuring a pic of a nail tech is different, then fine. That particular picture however, just makes me gag.
Now if the subject had been some gorgeous hunk like George Clooney or Becks... well that might've been different. Just a shame neither of them are nail techs. Hey, I know! Maybe you need a pic of a nail tech giving George a manicure? Can I volunteer please? Me!me!me! Pick me! I'll pay whatever you ask!
