Hi All,

I would like to try my hand at sculpting. Can anyone tell me if Retention+ or Radical would be best for this?

At the moment I'm using Rention+. However I understand that Radical is good for clients that suffer from cracks and chipping. Would Radical be better for sculpting as there is no tip to support the acrylic?

Is Radical best or will I be okay using Retention +?

Regards,

Karen

hiya karen :D
in the salon i sculpt 95% of the time.
i mainly work with retention +, which is fine for either tip & o/l or sculpt.
i would only use radical if the client in question repeatedly had problems with cracking & breaking, whether tip or sculpt.
have u checked out the geeks tutorial on sculpting?
once you get the hang of it, you will hardly ever get your tip boxes out again :D
there r a few times when a tip is needed; ski-jump & badly bitten nails are not good candidates for sculpting.

Thank you Liza! :D

Yep, I've got the geeks tutorial - I'm going to get my forms out now and give it a try!

Thank you for your quick reply.

Hi Liza,

Just wanted to say - you are so right - I Love sculpting!!! :D

I've only done it on myself at the moment, but love being able to pop a nail form under the nail and get straight on with the overlay.

Thank you for your advice!
