Hello fellow geeks

I was in a nail competition a few weeks ago and couldn't help notice that the nail tech next to me had come with 10 rolled balls of blu tac.
It seemed that she was apply the blu tac under the form.
I am assuming that this was done to hold the form into shape?

Has any one tried this?

What is the purpose of this?

Does it work?

I can only suppose, as you said it was to give more support to the form and keep the C Curve.

I have never done this, although I do stick the round centre piece of my form on the back of it for reinforcement.
Most forms these days, certainly the EzFlow ones have mylar plastic in them and they hold their shape for a consistent C Curve, hence why I have never felt the need for blue tac.
It would be interesting for someone to post who has done this.

I suspect it is just for the competition though, and some people do have some strange little habits and tricks they use in competitions

I have done this when sculpting on myself, I find it helps keep the form in place as I tend to knock them when doing my own nails.

I just didn't like to admit it:o:)

hmmmm, interesting, will have to try it on myself.

I think your right about it being a comp trick. Like u I use the center of the form.

If anyone has used this method please let us no.

Thanks for the replies geeks xxx
