Sorry if this is the wrong thread, not sure if should have been skin or hair.

Anyway, I used a hair-removal cream on my other half about 2 weeks ago.
He does have slightly sensitive skin I must add.
But yesterday he has developed alot of spots-some ***** especially at the top of his back on the far left and far right sides.

I have applied some Sudocream for now.

Does anyone have any ideas why this has happened, as I would like to think that although he doesn't have masses of hairs, I could regularly remove them for him using cream (he's a man and wouldn't let anyone wax him lol)

Thanks geeks

Sometimes men just get these spots it happens when waxing aswell.

Gentle exfoliation can help although they should be gone in a few days.

I find the more I wax a guy the less they get the spots x

It would be much kinder for him to have his hair waxed as these removal creams use strong chemicals which can be an irritant to some, whereas waxing can be much gentler on the skin and of course provides a much longer time being hair free.

The spots could be a histamine reaction to the cream although 2 weeks is along time. Does he normally get spots in that area?

Hi my guess is that as these creams are quite alkaline that they can temporarily upset the skins acid-balance and this is when bacteria can get in - are the areas you mention where the edge of a jacket might rub or get hot under clothes? Follicular infection can be a common occurence after hair removal but can be avoided. Try waxing if his skin allows and keep the area clean and use after wax lotion to prevent infections.
