Hello Everyone,

I need some advise.

We had our first client for semi permanent eye lashes the other day. My therapist put near enough 45 lashes on each eye. Then when I saw the lady I said how did she like them and did she want a few more (you could see the difference) she said no might maybe in the week if any fall out. well a few have fallen out and I do not mind replacing them, however she wants more to be put on to make them more dramatic. Do I charge her extra?
How many lashes would you usually put? I know it depends on the individuals lashes. Any advise I will really appreciate.
xx

Hi, i have done a few semi permanent applications and i always charge for extra applications, as it cost me money and uses my time to apply them. customers should be aware that they are likely to fall out and can not expect to have them replaced free of charge as it becomes difficult to draw the line on when to charge for re applications. I say to my customers that if they fall out within 3-4 days then i will replace them free of charge, but after that i charge. I dont charge the same amount as what i would for a full application, i charge depending on how many lashes need to be applied. Also make sure that your clients are looking after them correctly, as many people dont and use the wrong eye makeup removers and apply to much make up and this will deffinatly affect the length of time that they last. x

Thanks for the quick response. I'm not going to charge her for the few that have fallen off, however I think she wants a lot more to be put in so I was thinking of charging around 50p per eye lash. Do you think that is too much? x

Hi I have clients like this always want more and more and it drives me mad. So what I do is do the lash line as one fee and then if they want any more I tell them to return in a week and apply more lashes drops in between. I charge £10 a week passed. Always get them to buy sealer and tonic and they last a lot longer.

Is your therapist fairly new to eyelash extensions ?
when people are new to the treatment they tend to get around 40 lashes in per eye,
this does look ok however clients soon feel like they would like a fuller look,
as a minimum i fit around 70 to each eye and upwards to anything in the 160 per eye region depending on the clients natural lashes of course,

if the client was happy with the look and fullness on the day of treatment but then days later changes her mind and wants a more dramatic look then yes charge appropriately, hth

Thanks for the advise. Yes my therapist is new to the industry, but I think she did do them really well.

I spoke to the lady yesterday and said that we will replace the lashes that fell out, now the funny thing is she said to me that there was around 7 or 8, but when I said we would replace them she explained that she only has three lashes, so how did she know how many fell off? I also said that we will charge more to put an additional 10 to 20 on each eye, which I do think is only fair as she also told me that the day after she had them done, she combed them and thats when some fell off, however you are not meant to touch them for 48 hours.

Thanks again for all the advise everyone xx

Loubylou, quick question please. How much do you charge to do semi permanents lashes with around 70 on each eye?

I charge £100 for a full set,
it depends on how many natural lashes the client has as to how many are fitted,
if the client is older they have less lashes and a younger client tends to have loads,
but as long as there are no natural lashes left without the extensions then they have a full set,
hope that makes sense

Thanks for getting back to me x
