Hi

I have been looking for a reputable training course in Scotland with no joy. Does anyone know if there is such a thing or do I have to cross the border.

Thanks

This is something i am also interested in for the future, do you have to have any specific qaulifications before taking the course? Sorry for jumping on your thread:o

Kim I have also been speaking to them. They are coming back to me as it has to be done in Aberdeen and they restricted by dates. In real terms is it worth doing, although a qualified therapist, I just want to specialise in the semi perm make up and visit salon's etc in my area. Its nice to talk to someone who has at least had the training. Can you also tell me did you have problems with insurance and getting a license from you council. I called mine this morning and the guy was bamboozled to say the least and had no idea what I was talking about.:lick:

PMU is very lucrative. I don't do much as I specialise in waxing and I'm busy round the clock, either waxing or teaching others to wax.

However, it amazes me how many calls and clients I get for PMU and you really can make a lot of money. If you want to do just PMU, then I would advise you to spend a lot of time promoting yourself and getting yourself into salons.

Every council is different but generally speaking, a salon would need a specials treatment license for use of needles, so only approach salons that have one. Most will I expect.

Don't be too greedy. I see a lot of PMU therapists saying that they will only so to a salon if they have a minimum of 3/4 plus clients booked in for PMU. When you start, go even if it's just the one as you can still make a lot of money and that one person will be seen by many of her friends and colleagues who may then book with you.

Good luck. xx

thanks for the information, I'll give her a call.
