Hello! Im considering training in this field, have been deliberating for years (along with a whole host of other things lol!) but have always maintained a keen interest in this field and really want to expand on my skills. Are there any tech out there that have done this?Who did you train with?Ive so far found Finishing Touches and nouveau contour?Anyone got any info on each training provider for and/or against?Which one is the best? Also, is it still a required service or is it getting dated now?Sorry Im firing loads of qs out!Any information would be a huge help!

I can only speak about the training with Finishing Touches as that's who I trained with and I really can't fault them. Brilliant training and genuine people.

There are some other fab companies out there but at the end of the day, it comes down to your skill. You can mix and match though. Say you choose one company to train with, you can always do extra training with another. I went to Karen Betts seminar last year and it was amazing to see them all in action.

I would say it's on the increase, not the decrease. xxx

I was looking into this at the beginning of the year when i was working in a salon, then the salon closed and with me not having a guaranteed wage coming in i haven't had the £3k to train and £3-4k for the machine.

Anyway when i was looking into it i contacted a few hospitals clinics that use company's to refer their patients to. For scar camouflage and for nipple reconstruction (i am sure its called something else) and the one they all raved about was Finishing touches. Some of them hasn't even herd of Nouveau Contour.

The lady who owned the salon, still went ahead with her training with Finishing Touches and done it about 3 weeks ago now, and she said it was fantastic. She is going back to do more courses with them to do the scare camouflage and other stuff.

I still want to do it, as its always appealed to me.

(anyone want to pay for my course? He he)

Thankyou so much for replying! Its nice to hear from someone who has actually done the training with the particular company Im looking at! Who was it that you had?I think the ladys name is Gail Proudman that covers my area?Do you know anything about her? How long have you been doing it for? Before you started did the thought of effectively 'tatooing' someone scare you incase you made a mistake and it was there forever-ish!? Thankyou once again for replying!

Thankyou for replying Gemma!rrr what a shame the salon closing made the decision for you not to go ahead at the moment with your training :(.......its good to know that Finishing Touches seemed to come up top! I would have thought that given Karen Betts rep and status with celebrities that N.C would have been the more popular choice! Does the lady who owned the salon get good support from F.T?Its kinda scary I would have thought being taught for a few days and then just being 'left to it'? Thankyou once again for replying!

Why don't you call Karen and the team and find out for sure. Karen had done my eye brows and did a fantastic job. There is no question about her skill and the quality of her team. I don't know costs or anything but I would call and ask for info!! I love my eyebrows!!

Hiya,

I would not advise choosing another company to train with when you have completed a course with another tutor, unless you are going to take on board the new company as a complete package Pigments, Training, Techniques etc..insurance purpose.. why?

suppose something went wrong..insurance companys will only support you if you followed your tutor/mentors advise. if you have many tutors and lots of good or bad habbits and pigments/products from each then how can one trainer support your corner when you are using other companys techniques.

This was clearly stated to me by a company who was not my tutor, when i enq about training with them. they kind of said no in so many words..unless i did full on training with them.

something to remember when you make your choices

good luck

no need to mention who i trained with, i think you all know that now.

Jenx
