Hi,

I'm opening up my own hair salon and trying to get a room rented out to someone for massage or beauty therapy or whatever someone wanted to use it for (or so I thought...)

I had a guy call me today and ask if it was still available. At the moment my friend is thinking of taking it on but she said she'd let me know by next week, so I told the guy this, and asked what he did. He said, his wife and him both do massage from home, but they are getting really busy now and wondered if they could take my room for that, he asked what the rent was so I told him, and he seemed pretty pleased with that. I said the best I could do would be to call him next week to let him know what my friend decided and he was happy with that. Then he said to me, is there any treatment you wouldn't be happy with us carrying out? I was thinking...waxing, nails, facial...So I said, I think I'm okay with most normal treatments, why do you ask? And he said, my wife does some sensual massage, but she has a closed book and wouldn't take on any new clients. I just said i would need to think about it and I would let him know, bearing in mind it may reflect on my reputation. My question is...what is sensual massage?? Am I being niave in thinking its just basically a sexual thingLike you get those seedy massage parlours??? Or is it some genuine technique? Dont wanna be rude and tell the guy to gte lost if its ann actual thing but I'm uncomfortable even thinking about the logistics of it :confused:

Dodgy with a capital 'D'!!!
I'd keep away; the word sensual should never come anywhere near the words professional massage or anything like that - keep away...xXx

God some people are strange.

I'd ask straight up, "what's involved exactly in your sensual massage?" then you know the exact facts rather basing on assumptions and we all know what assumptions are - although it does sound a little dodge :lol:

You might find you get lots of visits from people who work for the local authority turning up at your salon - as clients! I have heard stories of such "treatments" being very popular with certain local councillors in the past :green:

sensual = sexual services

It may not be as seedy as we all think just a bit different than we would consider accepatable and probably not what you would want going on in your room.
There are people that do a kind of Tantric sensual massage to get you in touch with your sexuality and get rid of hang ups etc,so it is a genuine thing and they would definately not consider it prostitution but sexual therapy.

id ask what it involves so you defintely know.

sensual :eek:

so funny ruth about the councillars.

dont think im keen on anything sexual going on in my salon, legit or not.

could just ask them if they would not do it in the salon, they already run their business from home so could just ask if they could do the sensual massage from home but normal in the salon??

worth a try. i didnt ask at the time cos i was worried in case he was looking for a dodgy phone call if you know what i mean!!!

My fave description of a sensual massage - "rub and tug".

tbh I think in a hair salon you will get a lot more interest from clients by offering beauty / waxing treatments rather then just massages.
