Hey lashistas!! I feel like giving up...so upset...my clients are complaining about lashes falling out a week after....I don't know if it's my application....and if it is I don't understand. I spent $2000 in lash courses and I can't go back. But I don't want to be a disservice to my clients. I was told it could be environment as well but I don't get this all the time....please anyone tips or tricks advice anything...thank you...(tears)

So, are they falling out on all your clients or some of them, some of the time or all the time? On one eye? On one side of the eye? You need to figure out what each client has in common. What brand are you with? Are you in a hair salon? Are you clients coming with clean lashes? Are you cleaning their lashes prior? Are you finishing with a nanomister? So many questions :)

Hi Amanda,

So far, I have one client that always complains that after a week they fall (on both eyes). One of my new clients said that half of them were gone after a week and half, and one client told me that her lashes came off with the false ones (which I have never had happen before) I am working out of my home. I use sky glue, although that glue was giving me issues before, as when I was applying lashes one time it was barely staying on after 2 seconds. I figured it was expired without my knowledge. This glue is what the salon I did my training at uses, it's supposed to be really good. I clean their lashes with eye contact solution (as this is what I was told from my instructor). If they have makeup on I tend to clean that off or ask them to remove (I have an oil free make up cleanser for this). I am open to any suggestions on application or products. when applying I dip tip of false lash and stroke real lash and then drop. If lashes are curly I stick from the side, but make sure no gaps from base. I need good retention ladies so please I am open to constructive criticism.

I've just started having similar issues. I've been lashing since February and my retention had increased but in the last week I've had clients saying they are falling out quickly and some just on one eye. They are assuring me it's not bad aftercare and I'm controlling the humidity and temperature 50% and not more than 25degrees so I don't know what it can be. It appears to be worse since I started using ellipse flat lashes. I would be so grateful for any help as I have started having to do free infills. Thanks so much in advance xx

Which adhesive are you using?? It could be whilst it's warm it's starting to set quicker than your working so ur not getting a good bond

Thanks @caxjp69 that's what I thought but I use flirties ultra and don't think think it went above 25 degrees in the room (I do keep an eye on the temp) I put new glue out every 45-60 mins and work evenly between eyes so I would have thought both eyes would have suffered if the bonds weren't great. I'm in a real tizz and feeling very worried now x

Hey did you ever find you got better at retention? All my clients seem to lose them after a week! Xx
