Hi guys

I am wondering if anyone knows how to break into session work, eg magazine shoots, fashion week, tv/media etc...

I have been in nails for 5 years and have had my own salons both here and abroad and I have a portfolio of my work. BUT I have no idea how to go about getting started in session work as I can't seem to find any agencies that deal with this kind of thing, I have looked on the net (eg models have agencies).

If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be eternally grateful!!

Perhaps pm Liza Smith or Marian Newman (aka Mum) who are both major players in the session field and both members of this site. Mrs Geek might also be able to give some great advice too.

Good luck!

Hi,

I do some session work, the best thing to do is try to get on an agents books. You have to assist techs that already do session work, try Andrea Fulerton, Sophy Robson, Trish Lomax etc.

Your manicuring skills have to be really top notch (Im not suggesting they are not) and you have to work quickly and around lots of people (no space).

I did London Fashion Week in Feb which was great fun but really tiring.

PM me if you have anymore questions.

Take Care xx
