hi guys,

im still trying to profect my smile lines, im getting them smiley! but found my outer edges (ears) were to raised.
so ive been working on those to find ive got a new problem :(

i did an infill today my smiles were good my ears were good. But found i had a shadow on zone 1 where i put the new white acrylic, and the old white was coming through really strong. I was really careful not to put anymore acrylic on the old, just where i needed to move the smile line up.

im really getting fed up with nails at the mo, it seems one thing after the other.

i can work up to 50 hrs a wk, so find the rest of my time valuable. when do you guys find time to practice?

thanks in advance guys

xx

Your problem there was one of possibly three things. You either
1. didn't remove enough product form the area where you placed the new smile line so your new white ended up too thin or
2. your mix ratio was a bit wet so the white was not dense enough or
3. you filed the white too thin when finishing.

I guess number one as this is the usual areason.

You shouldn't be fed up, you should bemore determined to get it right as others eventually do.

I never used to practise at home. I did all my practise ''on the job' so to speak.

thank you geeg,

im thinking number one too, or the wet ratio, which i get from time to time.

im like you in the sense i practice on the job, i can see them getting better and i dont need to file as much when i finish them off now.

i have infills in tomorrow so i shall try again

Try going a little drier for the smile ... because it is such a small bead you work with in this area, it is easy to loosen the ratio once you start to press the bead into place SO Start with a drier bead and it should all equal out as you begin to work it.

well i had some infills in today (pink & whites) and tried a few things.

i tried filing down the acrylic more then checked my ratio wasnt too wet. and do you know what they were spot on thank you geeg. no shades combated my ears, just got to work on my timing now.

it takes me 2hrs for a full set of pink and whites
1hr 30mins for pinkor clear
1hr 30mins for pink or clear infill
1hr 45mins for pink and whites
(in gel or acrylic)

considering im a beauty therapist as well im doing good, but any hints on how to cut time down but not quality would be great

I don't think you need to worry about your times tbh babes, they are already quite good considering you are rebalancing
