Sharpies and acrylic paint?

How would i use both on acrylic? Would i buff then use them then use a top coat?

I use a base coat of some description, either clear, or more likely a base colour. The paints, even stripers, seem to slip too much without some kind of basecoat to adhere to.

Make sure you allow time for both the sharpies and paint to dry before topcoating, float the brush, don't drag it or you will smudge your designs no matter how long you leave them do dry :evil: :o
