Hi,
I am a newby to this site and was looking for some advice on shellac layering, i tried layering 1 x fedora then 1 x tutti frutti to get the rock star purple but it came out very patchy it looked awful, can anyone tell me where i went wrong !!!

Thank you
Jenny

IMHO, I don't think Tutti Frutti has a good layering consistency. I think the thinnner the Shellac is, consistency-wise, the better it will layer.

Moonlight/Roses, Beau, Negligee all layer well for me. HTH! :)

Do 2x fedora and 1 very very thin coat of tutti frutti. I always do 2 of my bottom colour when layering if it is a dark colour xx

Thanks a lot guys,i wil try two coats of the Fedora and see how it goes.

I find tutti and fedora very hard to layer without streaks. I don't offer it anymore really unless someone specifically asks for a purple like it.
