Shellac on lady who has had strokes?

Can I do Shellac on someone who has had several strokes, without asking for a doctors permission note? My insurance just say do whatever you were trained and stick to it but I trained in shellac so many years ago I can’t actually remember the answer to this one. Advice welcome as appt is supposed to be lunchtime

Presumably her mental capacity isn’t affected and she’s able to give consent to the treatment? (I know of someone who had 3 strokes and the third one brought on dementia.)

I guess the other issue is if she’s taking any medication?
