Hi I wear shellac all the time but I have noticed slight lifting while using a hot tub. I apply my solar oil at night. Any advice please would be appreciated also after a hand cream to use but not sure if that would cause lifting . Also think the hot tub is drying my hand out.

It will be the prolonged contact with water that’s causing the lifting. The chemicals in the tub will be drying your skin out.

Water is the number cause of lifting. When your nails become soaked with water, it deforms. Once it is dry again, it deforms again. All of this shape shifting causes the Shellac lose its grip with the nail plate.

I found lifting improved if I waited 12 or 24 hours after a manicure before long exposure to hot water. I hope your issue improves.
