Shipping furniture/belongings overseas

Hiya Geeks,

We have bought an apartment in Cyprus ( due to be completed in June ) Whilst we will buy some furniture out there, we have some stuff we want to get shipped over.......not enough for a full container.

I wondered if any of you Geeks who have made the move from the UK to overseas have any tips or recommendations for me. Any good companies that offer shared shipping, or is there any good resources online where I could find out more info.

Hi, is it North or South Cyprus? If North I could give you the details of the company I used. They do part loads on containers......

I used Removals To Cyprus Specialists - James Valentine Overseas Removals Just had a quick look on their website and they do Southern Cyprus too. They'll take from just a box to a whole container, prices depending on square footage. If you don't have a full container, you can't choose your dates as easily, as it will depend on when it is full, but that was the option I used. Took 4 weeks from pick up at my home in UK to delivery here at my home. All pretty straight forward actually, although bloody stressful, lol :green:

Yeah, eventually, lol!! Lots and lots of red tape to go through on this side of the island with not being in EU, but got there in the end!
