silk on natural nails

hi peeps can anyone tell me after you apply silk on natural nails how do you do infills on them?would u have to soak off in acetone then re apply?:irked: i am not sure,i have only been a moblie tech for about a month past my course in sept in tip and dip and fiberglass/silk..so any tips woud be great!! :lol: thankyou x x

hi there

after two weeks - depending on how much the nail has grown you would perform a maintenance on the nails - treat them the same as nail extensions. If they have not grown very much then you should be able to file them and fill the growth area with resin. Apply a thin layer to this area and then a another layer covering the entire nail bed and free edge - sealing everything back into place.

If the re-growth has left a fair size gap between the product and cuticle then you can apply a thin strip of silk to this area followed by two coats of resin and then again another layer over the entire nail. This procedure would normally be used during the second maintenance treatment but some peoples nails grow so quickly that it is required for the first maintenance.

ps I trained this way with Backscratchers but different companies may recommend different procedures. Probably best to check with the brand you are using to make sure you are correct.

hi i specialise in silks and with overlays i put the silk on then do 3-4 layers of resin and paint as desired .. then in 2-3 weeks just do a normal infill filoe them down and re apply glue 2-3 layers so i do 3 infills then soak and start again.. if your nails are good enough they will last .. any questions babe just ask?? x x
