Whats your budget??? You can go for an intense peel but your looking at anywhere from £300-£800. This sort of peel strips the top layers of the skin to reveal fresh new undamaged skin underneath. The down time on these is about a week. It will take a further month to see the full results, which during this time you must ensure you use decent skincare and a high SPF.

Your the same age as me so unless you have really deep wrinkles I doubt you will need anything as intense as a peel.

There are glycolic facials such as nimue or MD Formulations that work by removing the top layers of skin but dont go as deep as medical peels. you have no down time but you should still use the skincare and SPF. With Glycolic facials you need to use the creams a fortnight prior to a facial so your skin gets used to the glycolic acid.

Theres also Danne Montague King as well which helps to clear up spots and lift the skin to tighten any sagging, close pores, and remove dead cells. These facials are fantastic if you suffer from a lot of black heads.

Without seeing your skin and going off it sounding similar to mine, I wouod recommend starting a course of Microdermabrasion Facials and start using MD Formulations. Have a Microdermabrasion Facial first then start using the glycolic creams, a fortnight later have a peel and alternate every two weeks. You should see a visible difference in four weeks to your skin without down time.

It does all depend on budget, your also limited by the time you have which we only have 7 weeks now until christmas, so you need something that will give you fast results.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice well not wanting to spend too much lol but not sure how much are there anything i can buy on the high street? or can you point me in the direction of where i can get somthing just to stop my skin being so dull...and spotty arghhhh so if you could list what i need anyone and where from that would be much appreciated as i a bit slow on the up take lol wendy p.s thankyou for the advice!!

Your best bet is to find a good reputable salon and go for a skin consultation. They will be able to recommend the best thing for you to so. It's very difficult for us to suggest the best thing without actually seeing you.

all the high street peels have about 2% or less glycolic so wont have much of an impact , so best bet is to go to a salon/ clinic .

skinceuticals salicylic peel is brilliant for spots im having them at the moment.
you will have to use a homecare product with all peels .

Skincare products on the high street can not legally penetrate the skin so have little effect. They basically have to be suitable for any skin type otherwise they would end up with claim after claim. Thats why there are pro only ranges that have to be sold by therapists that have done a full consultation first.

I have seen some clients that tried to be clever and save money using those home microdermabrasion kits and they really damaged their skin by misuse and the product had no other effects.

If you want something to work buy a really good skincare range and stick with it. It may be costly at first but the products always last longer as you use a lot less so it works out the same, but you will see results.

If you want to get a peel at home, use a good scrub and apply tomato to your face mixed with some lemon juice. Then apply another mask of apple thats been mushed and left to oxidise and go brown. This is excellent for spots.
