Hi Peeps,
Wonder if you can help me yet again:)
My client yesterday asked me if I would be able to help her daughter, she has recently been diagnosed with Polycystic Fibrosis. She is 23 and has not been prescribed any medication or anything but has recently started suffering with large boil type spots on her face but are under the skin, and says that her face feels really sore.
Now ususally if someone says that they suffer under the skin spots, my first thought is exfoliation/dehydrated skin.
I told her mum I was happy to take a look but am thinking that if the skin is sore then microdermabrasion would hurt and maybe aggrevate the situation, would a deep cleansing, maybe galvanic not be enough or is it a dermatoligist that she needs?
Any advice greatly appreciated guys as mum is quite worried for her baby.

I think she needs to see her physician who diagnosed her Polycystic Fibrosis. There could be an underlying reason why she is having a reaction like this with her skin and for me I would like a consent form from her GP or consultant stating that it was safe for any forms of micro dermabrasion or any electrical treatment to go ahead.HTH

Many thanks Babsann

I was thinking along the same lines about the GP consent form but needed some reassurance first.

i have psos and have to be on medication, yes the skin does react as it iss a hormone related as im sure u know, however it is sommit she needs to address internally as all u will be able to do is monitor her skin, perhaps keep it at bay but she may products till the cows com home home with no avail
have u advised her that once she is on meds u can then work with her to dfraw up a facial regime plan, plus she may have extra hair in areas that she is too embarrased to tell u of, subtly mention this and u may have a wax or laser candidiate

DearI agree with the other comments but would like to add that a drastic change in diet can improve things immensely...I would advice your client to take her daughter to see a nutritionist as well as checking with her physician to get the okay. Would be very interesting to find out how things have progressed with your client.

Hope all goes well
Sylvia
