Hi

I wonder if anyone can help, I have been doing facials now for a while and one of my regular clients had started getting spots, I thaught this was normal as the facials will bring out all of her impurities. However, she has recently started getting quite strange spots... The spots are just like normal spots only when they burst all that comes out is blood Ive told her not to squeeze these but it gets to the point where she has a lump of blood on her face, strange i know!!!!! The spot bleeds for around 5 minutes and then stops and the lump has completely gone, the blood is gooey however a bit like a clot. She has been to her Drs who coulnn't reccomend anything. I really hope someone can help as we both are stuck on what to do!!!!!!

That is weird, we got told tht facials will give ya an outbreak of spots, got em ma self, but not known anythi like that. Sorry i cant help, but ask her to maybe try spot creams, there is a good one my boyfriend uses, as he gets alot of spots, ill find it out for ya and write back if u like

thanks that would be great, she has used everything, i actually saw one last night so know now exactly what she means just havn't got a clue what they are, they look awefull once squeezed as there is so much blood, it's quite worrying really!!!

This is very strange - I too get these spots occasionally so would be great if we could find out what they are!!

xx

are yu sure she isnt squeezing them before they come to the surface and maybe causing blood to come to the surface ? thats about all i can think of hun , hth xx

Sounds strange, I'd recommend she uses tea tree oil on the spots to see if they will heal. She shouldn't be picking spots as they only come up again 6 weeks after you've picked them and they have gone.

HI
Not too sure what this could be, she would naturally have a outbreak of spots like u say natural process of having facials.

I would think if she has tried most things she should go and see a skin specialist about it.

on the other hand is she sure she is,nt allergic to the products being used or is she using different products in between her facials.

I do a lot of facials with the Eve Taylor range and I Retail the same product to my clients that way they are using the same product in between treatments.

I have never experienced clients having an outbreak of spots after facials unless they are prone to spots or have a bumpyness under their skin which is a potential spot. What would be the point of a facial if it gave you spots. A facial speeds up exfoliation so an underlying spot may come through but this would be evident during the facial. If I gave my clients spots they would never come back.

Unless she is allergic to your skincare range or it is clogging her skin (not likely with a professional range) you are not causing these spots.

Surely her GP must have reached some conclusion?

It's hard to know what these lumps are without seeing them. They sound like sebacious cysts or boils(except for the absence of pus) which is why I am surprised the doctor didn't tell her something about them.
