hi im new to the site but wondered if anyone had heard of anyone getting impetigo after an eye and lip wax? :irked:i really cant understand it there were no sign of it or it wouldn have been done, but didnt come up till 2 days later! any suggestions how to handle it? would be much appreciated thanx gemma

I cannot see how your client got impetigo through waxing other than IF you shared the same spatula or you hadn't followed correct sterilizing routine ,i.e tweezers in Barbicide??Has she had it before?was it underlying already?

Impetigo can be cleared up with the correct medication,so it's not life threatening.I would offer the client a complimentary treatment such as a massage,however perhaps she got from somewhere else?has she got children,if so have they got it,has she been in contact with anyone who may have it? HTH
