Slip solution alternative

I'm training in acrylics and love it and just about cracked the skill. Unfortunately I've developed an allergy to I'm guessing the monomer. So I'm going to give polygel a go. The slip solution is expensive and I wondered if anyone uses just alcohol instead? Ive always used non acetone polish remover instead of gel cleanser as I know gel cleanser is just a marketing gimmick to charge a lot more for the same product. Just wondered if it was the same for the slip solution? TIA xx

You can use alcohol. I believe anything over 70 per cent would be ok. A more experienced Geek will probably have better, more elongated response.
