Hi all
I just need to vent my frustration to someone who possibly understands.
I had a client in last week for gel nails. She called me 2 days later to tell me 2 of her nails "fell off" and what was my procedure for that, so I told her I was sorry and I would do the repairs for free as I couldn't understand what happened. She then passed the shop and saw her friend in with my colleague so she popped in laughing and joking about how she knocked it and broke it but she was in for repairs. I'm quiet chatty so I was like "alright lets see what you've done" she laughed and showed me then said bye she would be in next week.
I got into work this morning to a letter to my boss stating she wasn't happy with her nails, how 2 of the "fell off the same day" and that another 2 fell off on friday (2 days after having them on) and that she posted some of the nails in the letter and how they "crumbled off" and "peeled off". So she wants a refund. Well I tell ya I almost hit boiling point so I said I would call her.
Anyways, I call and she's all attitude I explained what she wrote about them coming off the day she got them done and she had told me on the phone that it was the day after then she started ranting on about how they just peeled off and she picked the rest of them off etc etc. So I explained that I was not willing to offer a refund for the nails due to her contradicting herself and she clearly stated she picked them off herself and said my boss was willing to offer another set of nails or a beauty treatment as a kind gesture. Well thats when it all came out and we found out what she was after, her friend was in with my other colleague and had a file & polish complained all the way through it about everything that was being done then started raising her voice in the shop so my boss gave her a refund and thats what she was after they both work together and are friends so she thought she would try her luck with a refund from me.
I may not be up there with our top nail techs but I do know what I'm talking about and what I am doing or I wouldn't be working in a shop I have never ever had anyone complain about my work or tell me that they just fell off so I'm not having her run my good work through the muck and I know the gels are good as they are my own and I have been wearing them for months and I have used them on other clients.
