Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to get some advice really!

I did a soak off for a new customer on saturday. She'd had a set of nails put on whilst on holiday in Turkey, they had put Acrylic on the tip and gel then over the whole nail.

She then returned to the UK and had Gel infills and overlays to her original Acrylic / Gel set.

What a nightmare to get off, I cut the nails down and filled as much as possible before completing soak off. Her nails are not in good condition and i've told her to have a rest for at least two weeks because two nails are badly damaged this happend before she'd had the second infills which makes me question her last nail technician!

Is there a better way to do this as i've never soaked off gel and Acrylic and with a file and paint it took 1h15minutes or more!

She is coming in on Saturday for a Spa Manicure as she only had time for a quick file and paint last week. I can guarantee she will say that she wants a gel overlay straight away as her nails are thin?!!!

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

oh dear hunnie sounds like fun!!! The problem is when clients have their nails done at another salon then come to you to soak off it usually is a nighmare as you dont know what they have used especially abroad ,,,,, I had a lady whom had hers done in America and she had no idea what it was that was fun.... There was obviously alot of product on there and sounds like some buff off gel rather than soak off ... all you could do id what you did file as much as poss then soak... Im drill trained now which is alot easier as i drill off takes 10mins heaven when someone comes in with thiss kind of problem!!! Not sure if you heated the acetone a little as this speeds it up too ...

Hope this helps

Thanks, i'll remember the hot water tip for sure, glad it's not jsut me that's had this problem!
