Iv never had to do this, but just out of curiosity, when a customer comes to you needing a repair /replacement and you felt for whatever reason that it would be advisable to soak off any remaining product on the nail, would you charge extra for the soak off on top of you normal price for a
repair /replacement??

No I wouldn't charge for that x

This is why I charge more than just 10% for a single nail repair - cos it generally takes a lot longer than the normal time to sort it out. All repairs are different.

Will be interesting to see what people reply to this though, cos think about it, if the nail plate is clean and it's like you're starting from scratch, it will take less time to repair than to soak / file off and start again.

Should we charge less for a simple repair and more for a complex one?

Charge for a repair......we don't work for free mate but to soak or buff one nail isn't really too much hard work x

If they arrived with an enhancement that I could not file down etc & I decided it's best to remove, then I'd charge 10th soak off fee, plus 10th set fee. That's if it's a seperate appointment to the infill/rebalance.

I would only charge for the replacement, not how I chose to replace it...
I'd personally rather soak off if it would be easier to do that while working on the other hand, rather than spend time filing it off when I could use that time doing something else...
It would depend on the nail though I suppose x

If i am soaking off another techs work and replacing with my own I charge 1/2 the soak off price and i tell the client this at the beginning of service HTH's
